So, heartbroken but still determined to change his mind, she jumps at the chance to work as secretary to his elder brother, Dr. Astor Potter.
Crushed under the weight of guilt for a mistake he made last year, Dr. Potter remains a shell of a man who is cranky, a drinker, and one who is almost at the edge of losing his sanity. But a meeting with the sweet Southern Belle with the will of a tiger and a heart of gold, he feels alive for the first time. So, it’s a shame that he can’t help her. With two strong characters with traumatic pasts of their own, and an attraction that burns bright, this is a delicious, banter filled, grumpy sunshine story of love, conquering past demons, getting a second chance at life, and more.

I absolutely adored this book!
After reading and loving IOU by Kristy Marie, I had high hoped for The Potter and I am so glad to inform you that it is totally engrossing.
I loved the cover and was intrigued by the blurb. So, full points at attracting readers with them!
Then right from the start I got easily invested in Halle’s struggles and soon, her triumphs became my own. She is a strong character with a determination that got her to walk on her own feet again after an accident that left her scarred and with a crushed body. I absolutely loved her forgiving nature, and the inherent kindness and generosity of spirit she showed everyone.
Dr. Potter is a man who is difficult to like if you go by his cranky attitude but if you stay to look inside, you will find a man who loves deeply and is a good man. One mistake changed his life forever and now he is drowning in guilt that has left him facing a lawsuit, the danger of his practice closing and his license revoked.
Right from the start the banter between these two characters held me engrossed and the insight I got into their behaviour had me invested.
The chemistry is scorching, the emotions heartfelt and in all this story is steamy, enjoyable, and oh so satisfying!

I adored the Potter brothers and am so excited to read their stories now. Also, Rem is another great character and so enigmatic. I would have loved to know more about his history but maybe, we will get his story separately. Fingers crossed for it!
Conclusion:
All in all, The Potter by Kristy Marie is an enjoyable, engrossing, and lovely romance about people who have seen tragedy and conquered it. A love story that rises from the ashes of tragedy, I give it 4.5 out of 5 stars. And Njkinny Recommends it to all romance lovers above the age of eighteen.
