Stacking the Shelves #8
Stacking The Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews. It’s all about sharing books you’ve added to your shelves be it physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in a physical store, or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books got from author or publishers, gifts, and of course eBooks.
Some accidents are meant to happen…
Dr. Rihaan Mehta is a brilliant young neurosurgeon who has no inclination for love or marriage. According to him wives and girlfriends are annoying accessories that one can do without. But when his mother dangles the sword over his head in classic Bollywood style, he succumbs, and sets out in search of a bride who would fit his ‘requirements’. But can Rihaan deal with what he gets instead?
It sure feels that way when Sri Lankan tour guide Sepalika meets Daniel. The mysterious tourist from Ireland steals his way into her heart and makes her question everything her life is built upon. Instant attraction turns to love – but does he feel the same? And what about the secret she’s hiding from him?
Follow the two on their quest for a happy ending amid the beauty and wonders of the tropical island paradise of Sri Lanka.

It’s love at first sight when a businessman visiting London meets a silver-gray cat named James in the lobby of his apartment house. The two begin meeting regularly for cocktails—single-malt whiskey, neat, for James—and attending posh parties, where James first makes a name for himself by cracking the case of a priceless jewel scam.
Soon James is on the prowl, deterring pickpockets on the subway and ferreting out stamp forgeries and counterfeit paintings. In between crime capers, he screens potential tenants, spends the holidays at an ancestral estate in Devon where the crème de la crème of British society anoints him Sir James, and indulges in his penchants for pâté de fois gras and matchmaking with inimitable panache.

Eighteen year-old Mercy’s life is like a dream come true: she has married the love of her life, Samuel, and the two are preparing to move into their own new house. On top of that, Mercy and Samuel have launched their general store and bakery, and business is just starting to pick up!
That is, until Mercy’s old boss and fellow bakery owner Mrs. Stoltzfus organizes a boycott of Mercy’s bakery. She says that Mercy has stolen her recipes and is trying to steal her business, too.
Mercy and Samuel know that Mrs. Stoltzfus’s claims aren’t true, but how can they convince the rest of the community otherwise? Can the newlyweds figure out a way to appease Mrs. Stoltzfus but still keep their business afloat? And can Mercy find it in her heart to forgive Mrs. Stoltzfus?
