A book I will describe as "gripping and immersive" Read My Rebel by @SapnaWrites #BookReview #BookQuotes on #NjkinnysBlog #NjkinnyRecommends #RomanticSuspense #IARTG #FREEWithKU Share on XMy Rebel by Sapna Bhog Book Review:
Things I Liked:
I was so intrigued by Vihaan Rajpoot, playboy extraordinaire who noone knows much about like where he lives or about his personal life, in the previous book. And eagerly waited to read his story. So, when My Rebel released, I jumped at the chance to read it.
This book in one word is “gripping”. The base mystery of what happened twelve years ago to the Rajpoots continues in this book, and the plot thickens further. More layers of the mystery are revealed, and new information comes to light. So, I sat engrossed all through, and could not leave the story until the very end. And then, too, I was left itching to read the next book right away!
Book Title, Cover and Blurb:
The cover is captivating, and the blurb will immediately compel you to pick up this hot Indian romance. Then add the intriguing title, and you have a very alluring initial package to attract readers.
Storytelling, and World Building:
Sapna Bhog’s writing style is easy, fluid, and immersive. So, I was sucked in the story right from the start and stayed hooked until the very end. This story is set in Shimla and Dubai. And while reading the book, you will feel like you are there. Every detail is realistic, and every setting so easy to visualize.
Then the perfect balance of emotions, romance, and suspense added to my entertainment. The past tragedy and its long lasting impact on the Rajpoot family brought tears to my eyes. And I fervently prayed for a happier ending for them.
"Vihaan Rajpoot was a reckless heartbreaker, a player and he openly claimed he wasn’t nice. Yet, she found him irresistible."- #BookQuote My Rebel by @SapnaWrites | #BookReview #IARTG on #NjkinnysBlog #NjkinnyRecommends #MustRead Share on XVihaan Rajpoot was a reckless heartbreaker, a player and he openly claimed he wasn’t nice. Also the intense and sizzling chemistry between Vihaan and Tiya is hot but heartfelt due to the splendid balance of angst, yearning, tenderness, and love.
"Forbidden fruit. Tiya was forbidden fruit. He could desire her all he wanted, but he couldn’t have her. He could never have her."- #BookQuote My Rebel by @SapnaWrites | #BookReview #IARTG on #NjkinnysBlog #NjkinnyRecommends #MustRead Share on XForbidden fruit. Tiya was forbidden fruit. Characters:
The characters are the highlight in Sapna Bhog’s books. They are flawed, tortured, determined, even a bit grey tinged with hidden depths but are all so real that readers instantly connect with them. And this book is no different.
Right from the first book, “My Ruin“, I felt connected with the Rajpoots. Their pain, suffering, loyalty, and every happiness and sadness felt like my own. So, it was such a delight to meet them again. I rejoiced watching Shaurya and Myra so happy after overcoming the heartbreaking challenges of their past in the previous book. Then Aaryan, Vihaan, and Avi’s unconditional love, loyalty, and determination to keep each other safe had me sighing in pleasure. Also adored meeting Avi’s son again.
Vihaan and Tiya are so suited to each other. They complement one another. Both are strong characters facing their own challenges, and how they overcome them is so cunningly done. I could see no way out of the situation Vihaan finds himself in but when the solution came it was so crafty that it had me applauding the author’s genius!
Then we also meet Rajiv and Sheena, characters from Sapna Bhog’s “Sehgal Family & Friends Series” which was a pleasurable cross over.
Lastly, the villain they all hate but who is a man of many secrets with haunted eyes, Dev proves himself a worthy opponent. And I am so eager to see how he will get to his quarry. He has been relentless in his search for her, and he proves that he will not stop. So, I am itching to read his story which I am sure will be epic.
"I will find her, Vihaan,” Dev declared. "That is a promise.” – #BookQuoteMy Rebel by @SapnaWrites | #BookReview #IARTG on #NjkinnysBlog #NjkinnyRecommends #MustRead Share on XI will find her, Vihaan,” Dev declared.

Things that could be better:
While I absolutely adored this book, I was also very disappointed to find numerous grammatical errors in it. There are missing words, errors in sentences, and mistaken usage of character names.
Conclusion:
All in all, My Rebel by Sapna Bhog was worth all the wait. This book adds more intrigue to the continuing mystery of the tragedy that shaped the Rajpoots in to their present avatars.
"What happened to you, Dev?”"At one time, you claimed to be my friend—and you deceived us…” "Well, isn’t that…what a villain does?!And I am the villain in your story, am I not?” – #BookQuote My Rebel @SapnaWrites | #BookReview #IARTG… Share on XWhat happened to you, Dev?” Vihaan asked.
At one time, you claimed to be our friend—my friend—and you…you deceived us in the worst way possible.”
Well, isn’t that exactly what a villain does?!” Dev shrugged.
And I am the villain in your story, am I not?”
