I loved both Sona and Samar, and happily rooted for a happy ending for them, all through the book. The characterisation is relatable and real. Both the protagonists are flawed with demons of their own and yet with an inherent strength to their characters that will have the readers connecting to them.
We all had to deal with our own demons. Some, we succeeded in getting rid of. Others were the burdens that we carried for the rest of our lives. They tainted our relationships and coloured our view of the world. But there was nothing anyone could do about it, except go to therapy and try to minimise the damage.”
The author leaves intriguing hints to her upcoming hopeful romances among the secondary characters and is successful in leaving the reader intrigued. I am already eager to get my hands on the next book!
With simple language, fluid narration, and captivating world building, I was sucked into the story right from the start.
