Book Review: 
His Lover to Protect by Katee Robert is the first book by the author that I have read and while a standalone story, I later realized that it would have been better had I read the previous books in this series first because there is backstory to the heroine that is better understood if you have read the previous books.

Alexis and Luke have both seen tragedy and unhappiness in their lives. In this intense romance, it was interesting to watch as these two broken souls came together to heal each other. Their secrets are revealed, there is angst, drama, passionate romance and a crisp plot with believable characters that had me entertained throughout.

Katee’s writing style is expressive and fluid. She was able to bring out the emotional turmoil of the characters and had me misty eyed and then rooting for a happily-ever-after for them.

All in all, His Lover to Protect by Katee Robert is an entertaining romance that had me engaged throughout and now has me eager to checkout the other books in this series. 4 out of 5 to it and recommended to all romance lovers above the age of eighteen.
