Book Review:
The Colton Bodyguard by Carla Cassidy is the sixth and last book in The Coltons of Oklahoma series but the first that I read in this series. While the story is standalone, there are numerous characters from the past books referred here that had me wishing I had read the previous books first. So I would suggest you read this multi-author series in order.
As is usual with Carla Cassidy’s books, this one is also splendidly conceived and executed. Carla had me engaged and glued to my seat right from the start. Although, I was meeting Tyler and Greta for the first time but still there is enough background given to give me an idea of the past events.
The story is fast paced and the characterization admirably done. I could empathize and connect Greta who has been wronged in the past. With Tyler I took a little time to warm upto to him. Initially he rubbed me the wrong way but then when more about his character was revealed I could understand him better. The chemistry between these two is hot and the author brought the cowboy settings out so realistically.

The suspense and drama is beautifully handled and I kept guessing about the solution to the suspense but then was surprised when everything got sorted out. This book brings all the characters from the previous books back in a reunion. I loved meeting them and am eager to checkout the other books in this series so I can read their story too.
All in all, The Colton Bodyguard by Carla Cassidy is a crisp, entertaining and lovely conclusion to an interesting series that held me engrossed right till the end. 4 out of 5 to it and recommended to all romantic suspense lovers.
I received the book from the publishers via Netgalley and I am very thankful to them. The above review is my honest and unbiased opinion and in no way influenced.
