Topher Elliot is high school royalty.
The king of Lakeview prep.
You know the type. Disgustingly rich. Blond-haired. Eyes the color of a clear, blue sky. And muscles for days.
He also happens to be enemy #1, the bane of my existence.
Only, now my scholarship is in jeopardy and, like the peasant I am, I must tutor the king himself if I want to graduate.
Still, if I have to be around him, I might as well make it worth my while. So I send him a scathing text, telling him exactly what I think about him. But he mistakes me for someone else. That’s when I hatch a plan: get dirt on the king, and watch his reign crumble.
It’s about time someone made the king come tumbling down.
Hate Notes by Gracie Graham Book Review:
I loved reading Hate Notes by Gracie Graham. This was a quick and somewhat predictable read for me. Yet I enjoyed it!
Penelope Ewe is a scholarship student at the elite Lakeview Prep school where only the rich study. Bullied and harassed because of her unusual name, she has only one best friend in school. Topher Elliot, the supposed King of Lakeview Prep is popular, handsome, and the boy who started her years of harassment. His one joke about her name has stood the test of time and she is still the target for bullies, all of whom are his friends.
In a rage filled moment, she sends a hate message to Topher which starts a series of events that lead to her getting to know the vulnerable boy underneath the smirking, too perfect facade he presents in school.
They start as enemies and end as lovers, and in between give the readers so many moments of happiness, sadness, and heartache. I stayed engrossed throughout and eagerly followed the protagonists as they went on a journey of self discovery, realizing the priorities in their lives, taking risks to achieve their dreams, and baring themselves for love.

Oh and did I mention I adored how they talked nerdy with each other by quoting love quotes and life quotes from famous books like Romeo and Juliet, Wuthering Heights etc.
All in all, this is a well-written, engaging YA romance that will keep you glued to your seat throughout and then leave you with a happy smile at the end. 4 out of 5 stars to it and Njkinny recommends this clean romance to all YA romance lovers.
