Book Review: After She Fell by Amber Laura

After She Fell by Amber Laura is the first book by the author that I have read and it definitely won’t be my last!

A story about a heroine whose one mistake in the past still governs her actions today and a hero who is so charming that he threatens the firmly placed order in her life, After She Fell is a book that took me on a reflective journey of redemption, love and forgiving yourself of your past mistakes to take a a leap of faith.

Christina’s character unfolds slowly and initially she had me frustrated because I just could not understand her motivations for keeping Jason at a distance. But as the story progressed and I came to know her better, I understood her actions and felt connected to her trials and tribulations. A woman who lost everything because of one mistake, I felt her inner demons and could empathise with her.

Jason is such a lovable character. I loved him right from the start. He is passionate, charming and just the man for Christina. I was totally on his side throughout and jumped in joy when he got his happily-ever-after.

His parents are again characters I enjoyed meeting and would want to see them again.

Well written with a story that touched my heart and kept me guessing throughout. I sat engaged throughout and had a goofy smile on my face at the end.

All in all, After She Fell by Amber Laura is a story of forgiveness, love and redemption. It is a story of letting go of the past mistakes to take a leap of faith and hold onto to the happy moments of the present. 4 shiny stars out of 5 to it.
