The Fault in Our Stars by John Green Book Review:
Things I Liked:
The Fault in Our Stars by John Green is the story of two teenagers, both battling terminal health conditions, who fall in love with each other. Seemingly simple, this book plucked my heart out, squeezed it like lemon and then stomped on it for good measure. I cried my eyes out and sniffled, and then laughed but all through this I kept reading because this is the power of engagement of this book!
Emotional play is the highlight of this book.
Two people who know they are dying, still strive to live their numbered days to the fullest, in turn, teaching others to let go and be happy.

The Fault in Our Stars by John Green Book Quote
One of my all time favourite Book Couples:
Augustus and Hazel are one of those immortal book couples who make a permanent place for themselves in the readers’ hearts. So, I adored each scene, each character and each twist of this book. Hence, full of quotable quotes, this book is worthy of every award, every recommendation given to it.
Writing style:
John Green’s writing style is unique and he is a writer who doesn’t beat about the bush. So, he dives straight into business and his characters are like this too. They are frank, outspoken, flawed and yet full of life. I felt drained and yet energised after reading this book. They didn’t waste time and went right to do what they wanted. Fall in love with the person who fascinated them. No excuses!
May I see you again?” he asked. There was an endearing nervousness in his voice.

I smiled. “Sure.”
“Tomorrow?” he asked.
“Patience, grasshopper,” I counseled. “You don’t want to seem overeager.
“Right, that’s why I said tomorrow,” he said. “I want to see you again tonight. But I’m willing to wait all night and much of tomorrow.” I rolled my eyes. “I’m serious,” he said.
“You don’t even know me,” I said. I grabbed the book from the center console. “How about I call you when I finish this?”
“But you don’t even have my phone number,” he said.
“I strongly suspect you wrote it in this book.”
He broke out into that goofy smile. “And you say we don’t know each other.”
A book that inspires and uplifts:
The Fault in Our Stars by John Green teaches everyone to stop making excuses for their problems and be brave enough to take risks in life. Like Augustus and Hazel who, despite being terminal, still took the risk of falling in love for whatever time they had left.

The Fault in Our Stars by John Green Book Quote
Rather than moping and feeling sorry for themselves, they took control over their lives and tried to find a silver lining.

“Augustus,” I said.
“I am,” he said. He was staring at me, and I could see the corners of his eyes crinkling. “I’m in love with you, and I’m not in the business of denying myself the simple pleasure of saying true things. I’m in love with you, and I know that love is just a shout into the void, and that oblivion is inevitable, and that we’re all doomed and that there will come a day when all our labor has been returned to dust, and I know the sun will swallow the only earth we’ll ever have, and I am in love with you.”
Conclusion:
Emotional, raw, gritty, heartfelt, and motivational, The Fault in Our Stars by John Green is a must-read young adult romance. 5 out of 5 stars to it and Njkinny recommends this amazing book to anyone looking to feel the magic of true love and feel motivated to live life to the fullest.
